Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98SE; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020502 As in "About Plugins" listed, QuickTime 5 (as installed on my PC) is no longer plugin for .WAV- files. I failed in Installing WINAMP als Helper application, and if you go to test-URI http://home.t-online.de/home/martina-buss/test11.html you will be asked to get a plugin: Quicktime 5 !! Circle without end ? It is not a real problem for me, because I installed "Beatnik", but for this I needed advice of experts, my mozilla did not suggest any solution. Additional information: QT works, for example it shows .MOV in mozilla withour any problem.
I believe this bug is invalid. The filetypes Quicktime will play, is handled by Quicktime itself: It has a mimetype setup pref panel of it's own. So to assiciate the .wav files with quicktime again, you should use that. To start it and change filetypes - close Mozilla, then: Go to Control Panel Click "QuickTime" icon In the dropdown box, select "Browser Plugin" Then click button labeled "MIME Settings" Open the "Audio" section, and check the box for "WAVE audio file" there. Cick OK Close the settings box WAV files should now be associated with QuickTime again, and Mozilla should see it upon restart.
