Vietnamese utf8 characters like "dd" can not be displayed in mozilla1.0rc. it
become invisible.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Browse http://www.fedu.uec.ac.jp/~vuhung/tmp/ark.po
2.Grep for "Please check the file owner and the integrity of the archive." and
see the line next of next to it.
3.In the current sentense, you will see
"Bạn có lẽ không có ủ quyền truy cập"
The "dd" before "ủ" are missing
Actual Results: The "dd" before "ủ" are missing
Expected Results: mozilla make "dd" invisible
Note: the "dd" i typed above is in ViQR charset.

reporter/ruixu: is this regression?

I don't see any difference between N6.2.2 and 05-03 branch build, so it's
probably not a regression.
Wben I read the page with UTF-8:
http://www.fedu.uec.ac.jp/~vuhung/tmp/ark.po
I saw a "d" with some sort of dot at the top before the letter like "u".
But when I copy/paste the string that reporter said it currently display:
Bạn có lẽ không có ủ quyền truy cập
into Composer window html source, and I won't see the "d" like letter.
So seems it display fine with me with UTF-8 charset.
Reporter:
Can you please attach a screen shot to show the problem? Thanks!

Confirm this problem occors when locale set as en_US on RH7.2-JA.
However, when I use the default locale ja_JP.eucJP, I don't see the problem.

I had tons of problems with vietnamese display in mozilla/netscape
until I got fonts that could display vietnamese, and changed my
fonts.dir to have entries like this:
arial.ttf -monotype-Arial-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso10646-1
Which ttmkfontdir does NOT generate. Before that all kinds of strange
and crazy things would happen because my x-server doesnt have any way
to describe the unique set of unicode indicies used by vietnamese
other than to say the font is good for the entire unicode range.
There are no side effects afaict, I commonly view japanese, vietnamese,
and english text using mozilla, old netscape, and other apps, so I would
reccomend looking into this, especially with a 3.* Xserver.
