Bug 1419053 is about very frequent writes to disk. We should probably surface disk writes in our profiles. Maybe up in the label area. Maybe also saying which thread was doing the writing.

Bug 1447931 is related and may point to places in the code base where the profile markers should be placed.

Greg, that doesn't feel like a P1, with no activity for a while, but please let me know if it needs to be addressed soon.
Priority: P1 → P2
We've had disk I/O markers (with optional stack traces) working for a while now; most recently, bug 1464506 expanded them to all threads. So I'll mark this bug won't-fix.
And we have meta bug 1527023 for I/O follow-ups and other tasks.
Randell, please reopen if you feel we really need labels around I/Os.
