142086 - Clicking close icon for current tab sometimes closes Mozilla

I have thrice now - on my first day of Mozilla usage -
had the browser close completely when I attempted to
close just the current tab using the close-tab icon.

The first time it happened I figured I had probably just
accidentally clicked the close-program in the extreme upper
right corner of the Mozilla window, but the next two times
it occurred when I was extremely concious of that possibility
and made very sure I clicked the close-tab icon and not the
close-program icon.   It appears to happen about one time in
12 or 15.

and all earlier versions for closing TAB with right-mouseclick + close TAB
Will try the close-tab icon, too

reporter (Rob): can you reproduce this problem with a recent build of mozilla
(for example, 1.1alpha)? if so, please comment again with details (including
what build you are using). if not, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. thank you.

I am the original filer for this bug.

I have used about 20 builds of Mozilla so far and haven't seen
this again since sometime between RC1 and RC2, hence as requested
I am changing the status of this bug to "Works for Me."
