Steps to reproduce:

i had increased the font size of dropdown list.


Actual results:

Only select text font size is rendered not the option text font size.


Expected results:

Option text font size should also be rendered

There are known issues with styling of form controls due to the multiprocess feature

This issue affects font-size and font-family. Here is a textcase: https://jsfiddle.net/Lwd16qxt/3/

You can see in Chrome and Edge, the font size is increased and the font-family is different for each option, but in Firefox they're all the same size and font-family

Also, this is still an issue in Firefox 63. It is fixed if you disable multiprocessor support as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1191898

Thanks, yes this is a known issue.  There is work underway in bug 1421229 to resolve this.

This issue was apparently fixed for the whole 7x series, but returned yesterday with the release of 77.0.

Setting font-size for a select has no effect on the size of the dropdown options, only on the select-field itself. Version 76 worked just fine.

To make things worse, browser zoom also has NO effect on the dropdown options. So in current firefox, there is NO way to enlarge the font size of dropdown options which makes it impossible to use for vision impaired people. Please fix ASAP.

We have the same issue with dropdownlist font size. Also, appeared in v77. Just tried older, v76, dropdownlist font size is in correct size - takes page zoom into consideration.
Please fix!

font size in dropdownlist, when page is zoomed, shows tiny font. Page zoom isn't taken into consideration. v76 was ok, v77 - broken

Been trying all day today to fix this for Mozilla 77.0.1. Changing <option> font-size works as expected in all other browsers and the previous version of Mozilla, 76.0.1

As @Florian mentioned above, setting the font-size for select and option does not affect the size of the dropdown options.

I am commenting to confirm that the issue still persists. Please fix this asap.

v78.0.1 - looks like this bug is fixed again.
