If doing more than one download with Mozilla simultaneously, it's possible that
some of the files become corrupted. 3 out of 8 .AVI-files I was downloading
failed to work with any video software. After downloading them separately, they
worked just fine.

I'm often downloading many files at the same time with mozilla and never saw
this problem...
