User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20171205123322
Steps to reproduce:
1. Added new identity & outgoing SMTP sever for it
2. Used it (mail sent) with password saved in thunderbird's password manager
3. Rebooted PC later without explicitly shutting down thunderbird
Actual results:
Mail is still in sent folder, but identity & SMTP outgoing server is GONE, have to enter everything again which is incredibly annoying
Expected results:
everything is still there

jonas,
What flavor of linux?
And can you determine please how many profiles are in the profile directory? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb
Flags: needinfo?(jonas)
Whiteboard: [closeme 2018-01-15]
The other profile settings are still there in case that is relevant. It's like the newest changes just weren't saved immediately, and then when Thunderbird was shutdown uncleanly a few hours later it was lost. (which is very unfortunate since the dialog kinda makes it seem like closing it with "Save" would actually permanently save it)
It looks like I just have one profile:
jonas@cyberman:~$ ls .thunderbird/
3ahflojr.default 'Crash Reports' profiles.ini
jonas@cyberman:~$
My distribution is Fedora 27 x64 (thunderbird in the version as packaged by Fedora).
Flags: needinfo?(jonas)
This has never ever happened to me again, so maybe this should be closed as some sort of freak incident? (Since nobody else has commented here either)
