User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build ID: 20171206221407 Actual results: Since December 5th Firefox Beta keeps showing me two notifications: one is about a "new version" that is available (Nightly) and the other one I forgot, but it links to a knowledge base article that's two years old and doesn't seem particularly relevant to the message. These come up once or twice a day, regardless of whether I open (tap) or dismiss them. Expected results: Please don't spam me. Also, the Settings / Notifications section doesn't have an option to disable these, but only for "new features after an update".
Another thing, the notification text starts with "B " and "D ", if I recall correctly. I don't know why.
Summary: Firefox "tips" notifications keep coming back → "Firefox tips" notifications keep coming back
Flags: needinfo?(cnevinchen)
After taking the first screenshot I dismissed the notifications and they appeared again; the time is visible in the images and file names.
What version of Firefox are you using?
Started happening in the December 5th Firefox Android Beta (58) update.
Sorry it's my fault. Forgot to disable test campaigns for some Beta users. Events are We don't have campaigns on Nightly and Release so they are not affected. I just turned off those test campagins in Leanplum backend. Sorry for the confusion. Please restart the app and kindly let me know if it still happens.

Thanks, I'll give it a day or so and close this. On a somewhat related note, looking at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Leanplum_Contextual_Hints I don't think I'm in the target population of those promotions, and I usually disable them in other apps. Is there a way to turn them off? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-usage-data-firefox-mobile-devices mentions that disabling FHR also disables Adjust integration, does it affect these, too? I think it would make sense, since there's no way to measure engagement.

I've had no notifications in the past day, it's now fixed.
