Steps to reproduce:

I tried to play a flac file from a webpage on an android tablet pc from Medion.


Actual results:

The file can not be played.


Expected results:

The flac file should be played.

flac on android should be working, ever since the beginning of flac support. It was only on ARM device we didn't have support. x86 support has always been there, regardless of the platform

Hmm - unfortunately so far I didn't manage to get the emulator working in my Android development VM, so I can't test this myself.

It's not the emulator you want, as this would simulate an ARM device.

But the real Android for x86.

We do have mochitests to ensure that flac for Android (arm and x86) is working.

Results show that FLAC is reported as working in those.

I meant an x86 emulator, but yeah... if FLAC on x86 Android is generally working, that leaves the question what else is going wrong.

To rule out any page-specific issues, can you give an example page/file that doesn't work for you?

Works for me using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 GT-P5210 Android 4.4.2 x86. Using http://www.hyperion-records.co.uk/testfiles.asp as the test page.
