Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20171210100145

Steps to reproduce:

On Nightly 59a1, open a login page on any non-https website (e.g. local development website). Try to fill your username and password.

Actual results:

The security warning ("This connections is not safe. ...") appears exactly ABOVE the text input so you cannot see what you're typing. This only happened since some time, not sure if it's in latest Nightly versions or something else changed.

Expected results:

The security warning should appear BELOW the text input.

Found out this is not strictly related to the security warning, but also to autocomplete suggestions box.
Summary: Security warning box overlaps and hides the text input → Security warning box and autocomplete suggestions box overlap and hide the text input

Is this still reproducible in the latest Nightly for you? Does it always reproduce? I can't reproduce it on my machine.
Flags: needinfo?(f.abeni)
Yes, it does reproduce on Nightly 59.0a1 (2017-12-11).
Yes, it does always reproduce (e.g. access a Wordpress login page on a non-https page).
I'm on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04, with all latest updates.
This happens also immediately after restart.
This happens also on a different, fresh user account on my machine.

Thank you for taking the time to investigate into this, let me know how can I help more.

The issue seems to be gone after updating to 59.0a1 (2017-12-13).

Not sure if it's actually a change in the code or another related change on my notebook (unfortunately it's not easy for me to test on a clean environment).

Feel free to change this.
I meant "feel free to CLOSE this".
Thanks for following-up :)
