In thread view, it should be possible to collapse subthreads of mail/news messages, especially news messages. This will make it easy to read long threads by reading one subthread at a time. Example: [+] This is a sample message [+] Re: This is a sample message [-] Re: This is a sample message [+] Re: This is a sample message [-] Re: This is a sample message [-] Re: This is a sample message The + or - signs is entirely theme-dependent. For example, Modern will use triangular twisties like it does with trees.
