Steps to reproduce:
Every day I get (from my workmates) an (plain text) XML report with size between 100kB - 2MB.
Actual results:
When I click on the mail TB hangs for almost half an hour before it reacts on any input. On small attachments (100kB) the reaction time is ~ 1 min.
Expected results:
Reaction should be somewhat (linear) depend on the message/attachment size, but not expotentially

Similar sized attachments with different mime types work fine, e.g. ZIP files. In a test mail the attachment was just added (sent from TB to Outlook and then returned back to TB) manually. This has no effect on the hang-up (the daily mail is generated by a tool).

This is bug 736951, which depends on resolution of core bug 197956
