I can reproduce bug 1410240 again since a few days ago.
Do you have the search bar in your chrome?  If not, you're probably seeing bug 1423247, which was backed out today.

No search bar and the bug is fixed with today's nightly, so I suppose bug 1423247 was the culprit.
