Details

If you create a new Firefox profile and then type "faceboot.com" you are redirected to facebook.com, but for all of eternity when you type faceboo, it will autocomplete to faceboot.com.

There is no history entry to delete, and shift+delete does nothing.

The only recourse is to clear your entire history.

There should be a way to delete url autocomplete history when there is a redirect.
Talking more outside of bugzilla, reveals that shift+delete doesn't seem to work properly for the Visit entry (the one at the top of the list).

It removes the entry from moz_places, but it is still in moz_hosts with a frecency of 25.

If I use a history entry in the url bar results, then it is removed correctly.

In the broken case, it isn't displayed in "Show All History" but it is displayed when searching.
This is either a dupe of bug 806178 or of bug 1104141, which are likely caused by the same underlying issue.
