From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 i start downloading a file. any large file on http will do. then my modem internet connection gets interrupted. the download window says "100% downloaded", and the file on the hard disk is smaller than the file that was being downloaded - i.e. the download has failed, not completed successfully. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start downloading a 5 mb http zip (or any other) file - right-click->save link target as. Your internet connection must be modem-based 2.Unplug the modem. Or wait until the connection breaks. 3.The download window reports successful download, but the file is not fully downloaded. Actual Results: The download window reports successful download, but the file is not fully downloaded. Expected Results: suggestions: 1) close the download window on interrupt and report that the file has not been downloaded successfully 2) "pause" the download so that it may continue after re-connection to the internet via the modem. I am using the "modern" theme.

Seeing the same thing here on 2002051404, win2k. Doesn't need to be http transfer, downloading current build from ftp.mozilla.org exhibits same behavior.

As of Mozilla/Win32 v1.1 Alpha (Build ID 2002061104) the individual fields in the Download Manager are updated correctly after the failure, but the Manager does not allow access to the Properties Tab in order to re-start the failed download. The original file segment is also missing (I received an Error message about being unable to save the C:\TEMP\... file because it could not be read? A subsequent Scandisk reported everything Ok.).

Duplicate of bug 182183 – "When a download is in progress, disconnecting from internet causes to indicate 100% done in DM", because that one has more info.
