Build 2002050306 (RC1) W2K Messages sent from Outlook (and Express) with "Stationary" backgrounds cause MailNews to freeze. CPU goes to 100% on the mozilla process and all panes of Mail window stop refreshing. This will be especially noticable if you minimize and restore the mail window. The desktop (or whatever was on the screen) will be displayed in the folder and message pane. When in this state the balance of the mailer is flakey, probably due the the CPU utilization. The mailer can be revived by scrolling the Folder list or message list scroll bars, however CPU stays at 100% until a diferent message is selected. JavaScript for mail is disabled, so that isn't the problem. Messages with animated GIF's embeded seem to be the culprit, not sure. See attached Screen Shot and Message. Reproduce: 1.Send a mail for OE or outlook using fancy stationary. Get some at www.sandrasue2.com 2.Open the message in MailNews. 3.Minimize MailNews 4.Restore MailNews Reproducability: Most "fancy" OE stationary will cause the bug to show.
