Does this happen only when you're trying to refresh the current page, or also when you try to go to a new page? Does it always happen or only sometimes?

Did you disable autocomplete in the Address bar by chance?

(In reply to Marco Bonardo [::mak] from comment #4) > Did you disable autocomplete in the Address bar by chance? No, I double check the setting again, here is the value: browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled;true

Are you on Linux? I remember a recent bug about a search engine definition breaking the urlbar, even if I can't find the bug# now.

Which antivirus do you have? Could you please try to set the "Prevent Accessibility software from accessing Firefox" option in preferences and check if it makes any difference?

I'm fairly confident that bug 1438329 fixed this, so I'm going to mark it fixed. I could be wrong, but in the absence of other evidence I think it's likely. Please keep an eye on this and if it still happens in Firefox 60, please reopen this bug.
