User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36 Edge/16.16299

Steps to reproduce:

Highlight a site on the webpage in Composer, click on link, and it will not allow you to link it.

Actual results:

Nothing

Expected results:

The link should have been created.
I haven't a clue what the problem might be. "Higlight a site"?

May be this one is a UP of "Bug 1417819 - Browsing files to insert image will not insert file path to "Image Location" line"?

@reporter:
Please
a) Contribute a problem related step by step instruction containing every
   key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem due to
   <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>
   (similar to report in Bug 1139273)
b) Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
   problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
   into a OOo or LibreOffice DRAW document and to add comments
   that explain what you want to show (attach .png or PDF from source document)
c) add information
c2) concerning your SM localization (UI language, Locale setting)
c3) SM settings that might be related to your problems
    May be you should attach a copy of menu
   'Help → Trouble shooting information”' as a text document
c4) how you launch SM (Double click on document? console? …)
c5) Whether problem persists in Safe Mode without add-ons
c6) Whether problem persists with blank new profile
c7) everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts
d) An URL for a web page where you observe the problem.

I am using Sea Monkey composer to edit web pages. I open a web page in composer, type in a line, highlight the line with mu mouse, click the link icon at the top of the page, navigate to the document (usually a .pdf file), OK the link and nothing happens. This has just started. It has been working perfectly.

That is not a step by step instruction in accordance to the guidelines, ist's much to unclear. But I am pretty sure that reporter's problem is reported with Bug 1417819. So DUP for now.

@Reporter: Thank you for your attention.
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find out that the fix for the other bug does not solve your problem or if you see other well founded indication that you fond an independent bug.
