User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Started working down my inbox previewing and deleting messages when it is interrupted by compacting. Actual results: This happens sometimes a few times during the day. I will be reading through my preview pane of emails and deleting some of them, when all of a sudden, control is taken from me and the software starts compacting my email box. I then lose the position I am in, in the preview pane, and have to find my way back to where I was when the compacting is over. Expected results: The software should wait until things have gone quiescent for a certain period of time (a minute or so?). If no one is messing with the program, then start the compacting process. If I close the program right away and you need to do compacting, then compact the boxes before closing down.

Good idea. You know that you can turn auto-compaction off, right? Then you can compact manually when it's convenient for you.
