I've implemented a (not only) tracking request "tailing" feature (bug 1358060) that puts trackers (or anyhow tail-marked requests like favicons) to a special queue which blocks processing of the request (blocks DNS lookup, TCP/TLS preconns, cache lookups). This is in other words a deprioritization of tracking requests in a context of a page load.

The delay is engaged between asyncOpen (to be more specific - after tracker classification of the request which happens soon after asyncOpen call) and an "untail" event fired for the request.

Since the timing code for netmonitor is not clear to me, I'm not sure to which of the current timings (blocked, dns...) this tailing delay falls.

What more, we are not showing in any way in netmon if a request has or has not been tailed.

Depends on how - and if - we want to provide this information, we may want to add either another timing like "Tailed" or "Delayed" to the Timings section or just add a flag-like info that a request has been tailed. Personally, I would be in favor of another timing.
