From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417
BuildID: 2002041711
Browser hangs up on this site early on in the loading. The cursor shows itself
as the little watch and nothing happens. Force Quit must be used and browser
needs to be restarted. Tried three times to load site, happened every time.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. load url
2. wait for hang up
3. force quit as necessary
Actual Results: as above
Expected Results: shouldn't have hung up
may have crashed because of incompatibility between site and browser. Note the
top right hand corner of screen where missing plug-in is indicated.

plugin related?
wfm Mac OS 9.1 with build 2002051005.
This page has a Java applet which seems to have loaded just fine for me. I have
MRJ 2.2.5 installed.
Mac/2002072203 crashed accessing the URL, generating TB8793664X. Will restart and retest.
Confirmed using Mac/2002072203. Mozilla crashes when the URL is accessed.
The TalkBack ID I referred to in comment 3 is incorrect. Instead, see TB8860837X and
TB8861014H. I'll also attach the results of MacsBug how and sc commands shortly.
Stack suggests a Java-related problem, so reassigning to OJI.

FWIW, I can crash using the 2002-10-14-03 OS X trunk build after loading this
page. See attached stack trace.

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

OS: Mac System 9.x → MacOS X
The given URL doesn't use a java applet anymore so the original testcase can't be reproduced.
The WayBack Machine's copy has it:
http://web.archive.org/web/20020124055416/http://www.ocad.on.ca/
and it gives a java error now. Perhaps the newer Java runtime is catching an error that always existed in
the applet?
WFM Mozilla 1.7 Mac OS X.3.4.
Can somebody running OS X.2.1 or earlier verify crashing on the Wayback URL?

The given URL in comment 0 isn't valid anymore. It will make it hard to test the issue. Even with the mentioned URL from Wayback I'm not able to load the Java applets.
I think it's the best to close this bug as INCOMPLETE for now. If someone has a better testcase, feel free to reopen this bug.
