Steps to reproduce:

Appears to have begun with the release of version 52.5.2 (32-bit) in late December, 2017. The update was installed automatically. I had been using Lightning with Thunderbird. I didn't know about the integration until I started to investigate this problem in January, 2018.


Actual results:

There are no references to calendar functionality in the user interface. I can't find any way to open calendar panes or views.


Expected results:

It should have worked as shown in what little documentation I have found.

Lightning is not integrated into Thunderbird. Lightning is still an extension but is bundled with Thunderbird by default. Therefore open Thunderbird add-on manager and verify that Lightning extension is installed and enabled. If enabled you should see menu entries and toolbar buttons to open the calendar tabs.
