RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 792270

People

(Reporter: kontakt, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20171211020921

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open an email with non-ascii characters (e.g. a message in Polish)
2. Save the message as html
3. Open the message in Firefox

Actual results:

The html version of the message does not display characters such as ĄĘŁ, because of missing '<meta charset="utf-8">' tag

Expected results:

The html version of the message should properly indicate what encoding is being used.
Did the email include any character encoding information? If so, what is the exact line?
