Filing this bug as Firefox 58 is imminent. Starting this weekend (6./7. January) I am unable to run Czech Firefox Nightly (downloaded from ftp.mozilla.org) on my Fedora 27 (kernel 4.14.11-300), not even with a fresh profile. I am getting this YSOD:
> Chyba parsování XML: Nedefinovaná entita
> Adresa: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
> Řádek 667, sloupec 9: <menuitem id="context-back"
> --------^

However it works OK in safe mode, which does not make much sense when in fresh profile does not. Other language versions work OK too.

I have started to look for a bisection manually, downloading older builds from ftp.mozilla.org. I end up all older Nightly 59 showing the YSOD, even beta 58.0b3. Release 57.0.4 starts OK. In beta 58.0b3 the YSOD message is slightly different:
> Chyba parsování XML: Nedefinovaná entita
> Adresa: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
> Řádek 1165, sloupec 7: <menuitem class="pageActionContextMenuItem extensionUnpinned"
> ------^

Another Fedora 27 user was able to reproduce, even with older kernel 4.14.8-300.
The only update (rpm -qa --list) before the weekend I see gcc to 7.2.1, which we have in common with the other using who can reproduce the issue. I will now test in a fresh virtual machine.
Gandalf, Martin, do you know about any changes in Firefox and Fedora respectively, that could cause such problem for a single language? I am starting to wonder if the problem cannot be in combination of the system and Firefox locale...

Thanks for filing the bug.

I'm going to mark this as duplicate of bug 1420775, in order to focus the discussion in one place, and copy there as much information as I can.

Michal, I'm unable to reproduce on Fedora 27 & firefox-58.0b15.cs.
I run "$LC_ALL=cs_CZ.utf8 ./firefox" and firefox starts without any problem i CS locale.
Thank you Martin. I am away from my computer, but my guess is either a combination of Firefox & gcc or Firefox and Fedora locale.
After I get back to my laptop, I will try to reproduce with fresh Fedora in a VM. If you manage to reproduce or get more clues in the meantime, please comment in bug 1420775. Seems it's not just a Fedora issue.
