User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
Build ID: 20180104112904
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a message in plain text with no wrap, containing for example the following line: "L'oi eu une bffée 1120 batastroggiffe, la fêre gahhuée kar les hjselbions bjvbrses."
- Save the message as draft
- Re-edit the message
Actual results:
- One space gets removed from the message between "kar" and "les", resulting in words getting concatenated: "L'oi eu une bffée 1120 batastroggiffe, la fêre gahhuée karles hjselbions bjvbrses."
- The behaviour does not happen with every text
Expected results:
The message should remain the same.

I can't reproduce this. What do you mean by "plain text with no wrap"? When I do a plaintext message, it wraps at 72 characters, so I see
L'oi eu une bffée 1120 batastroggiffe, la fêre gahhuée kar les
hjselbions bjvbrses.
But when editing the draft I still have the space between "kar" and "les".
Does this happen when you disable all add-ons? See Help menu.
Thank you for your comment. By "plain text with no wrap" I mean that in the config editor, the property "mailnews.wraplength" is set to "0". But actually changing this property value to "72" does not change the behaviour with respect to space removal. I gave a try with all add-ons disabled and the same problem occurs. It's really weird.

Thank you Wayne, for the follow up. I'm now using version 60.4.0 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 18.10 with a new computer and I confirm that the unexpected behaviour still takes place. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it systematically and the text that I pasted above has nothing to do with the behaviour itself (it won't per se raise the error). The space removal happens now and then without a clear pattern. It's not very often, but sufficiently often for causing discomfort. I'm really surprised that this bug has not been reported by others. Please let me know if there's anything I can run on my end that could facilitate the diagnosis.
