RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 122597

Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.0+)
Gecko/20020430
BuildID: 2002043010

Browser crashed while re-loading a page (via 'back' button). Restarted it. On
view of first non-trivial page it started grinding on the disk without stop,
never successfully loading the page and not responding to any mouse clicks.
After a minute I killed it and restarted it. Same behavior. Tried several more
times. No change. Tried clearing the disk cache via the preferences dialog (my
home page is a simple local html file, so I could start Mozilla without hitting
the cache or network). This induced the same behavior. Rebooted and tried again.
This time I waited half an hour and it was still reading or writing the disk.
Finally, by hand did an 'rm -r' on the browser disk cache. This fixed the problem.

Reproducible: Didn't try

I really wonder why it takes so long to clear cache on the mac filesystem....
