(Built from the trunk, Gecko/20020508) I've got a shortcut to launch the MailNews bit of Mozilla: D:\mozilla_src\mozilla\dist\bin\mozilla.exe -mail Recently, i've noticed that this now also launches a separate browser window as well as the MailNews window. The Browser Window is looking for "http://find" which not surprisingly, it doesn't find. I'm not sure if this is a Mozilla Browser or MailNews bug, so apologies if I guessed wrong. -dave
I just found Bug 139166 which appears to be a similar if not the same problem. This bug was closed as a WORKSFORME.. Well obviously, in my case this is still a problem. If there is any information that will help in solving this problem, please let me know. -dave
Also resembles bug 140797 Is this with an imap account?
No.. i'm only reading news -dave
The following URL is what the browser is launched with.. when it fails, you then just get the http://find in the URL textbox.. find:datasource=history&match=AgeInDays&method=is&text=1&groupby=Hostname -dave
I still get this behaviour in 051808. However i discovered, that when i create a new account, i don't get this. My current account was imported from ns4.7 a while back.
Reporter: When you start mailnews: Do you have the sidebar tab open, and the history as the tab that displays?
The sidebar tab was not visible, but when I expanded it, yes, the 'History' tab was selected. I turned off the sidebar in mailnews and the problem goes away. I'm most impressed with your idea! -dave
