Michelle, Betsy, what do you think about this?
The suggestion is to change "Open Link in New Tab" to "Open Link in New Private Tab" in the context menu in private windows.
Flod's concern in the phabricator review was:
I don't think this makes a lot of sense, we never talk about "private tabs" anywhere in the product, since we only support "private windows".
Personally I don't feel very strongly about it. I can understand flod's point but I also understand that wording it more explicitly helps defeat misunderstandings.
What do you think?
I agree with Flod - the "atomic" unit of Private Browsing is the window - IIUC, the cookies from all tabs are retained until you close the entire window, thus ending the session. Calling the tab in a private session a "new private tab" is unnecessary and potentially misleading if people think a tab is a unit of private browsing separate from the window. Calling it a plain ol' new tab but opening it in the same private window they are already in does not expose the user to any less privacy than they already have. If we were, say, opening a non-private tab, that would be different.

Ok if there's no UX buy-in then let's wontfix it.
Sorry for your time, tobias, would you like to tackle a different bug? Let me know and I can dig something up :)
