[Affected versions]:
- Firefox 58.0
[Affected Platforms]:
- All Windows
- All Mac
- All Linux
[Prerequisites]:
- Have a new Firefox profile.
- Have the following prefs. in the "about:config" page (If a preference does not exist, please create it):
- “extensions.legacy.enabled” pref set to “true”;
- “shield.test.variation” pref set to “linear-taar”;
- “extensions.taarexpv2.profile-age-in-days-test-override” pref set to any value higher than 1 but lower than 10.
- Have the browser console opened
[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites and install the "TAAR Experiment" from https://goo.gl/mg6ubo.
2. Go to the "about:addons->Get Add-ons" and install any add-on.
3. Focus the browser console and observe the "addon_id".
4. Focus the about:addons page again and install another add-on.
5. Switch to the browser console and compare the the two id's.
[Expected result]:
- The id's are different.
[Actual result]:
- The second installed add-on has the same "addon_id" as the first one.
[Notes]:
- The issue is reproducible regardless the number of the installed add-ons.
- The issue is not reproducible when the add-ons are uninstalled (each add-on has the correct "addon_id" displayed.
- Attached a screen recording of the issue.
Great catch! Tracked in https://github.com/motin/taar-experiment-v2-shield-study/issues/8 and fixed in upcoming 1.0.1

This issue is no longer reproducible with the latest version of the "TAAR Experiment" add-on (1.0.1) installed, on the latest Firefox release. Verified on Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 14.04 x64, and Mac 10.12.
