The Netscape ADT (Application Development Team) is charged with managing the delivery of the release of Netscape commercial browsers. Need keywords added for the m5 branch: Keyword Description adtm5 Use this keyword to nominate bugs for fixing on the Netscape m5 branch adtm5+ This keyword will replace the adtm5 nomination keyowrd if the bug has been approved by the Netscape Application Delivery Team adtm5- This keyword will replace the adtm5 nomination keyword if the bug has been rejected by the Netscape Application Delivery team for fixing on the m5 branch. fixedm5 Use this keyword when you check in a fix to the m5 branch. QA will do branch verification of bugs with this keyword by testing the m5 branch and replacing "fixedm5" with "verifiedm5". verifiedm5 Use this keyword to mark a bug as Verified on the m5 branch.
we have the following keywords as sets: +//- adt1.0.0* edt0.9.4* edt0.9.7* edt1.0.0* mozilla0.9.7* mozilla0.9.8* mozilla0.9.9* nsbeta1* nsbranch* nsCatFood* nsdogfood* topcrash* topembed* fixed/verified *0.9.4 *0.9.7 *0.9.9 *SunBranch and the following nonsets: relnote2-3, relnoteRTM, mail1-6, mozilla0.9.5-6 can you suggest a few of the above keywords that we could retire? ideally you'd suggest keyword sets that belong to netscape adt or its ancestors
Retiring the keywords shouldn't have direct relevance to the request for this bug report.
I agree with Lisa. In addition, most of the keywords you suggest are not ADT keywords. nsbranch is the only one I see in your list that is a good candidate for removal, but it could also be repurposed for part of this request (at the cost of confusion vs the fixedX and verifiedX keyword standard we've established.) I can't even imagine how removing topcrash would be beneficial to anyone who wants to use this code base for *any* purpose. The mail1 thru mail6 keywords can be removed as they are out of service now. Looking over the keyword description page, there are very few for which this question is at all relevant. Nearly every one of them serve the very useful purpose of conveying important information about the bug in a standard and queryable form. Luckily, keywords are not truly a scarce resource (although useful information sometimes seems to be :-)
Hey, I'm a month late to the party. I'm not sure how I missed this request but something went wrong in my bookmark for this catagory. Is this still needed? There wasn't an m5branch created, right? so all of the plussing and minusing and fixed/verified, etc keywords are 1.0.1 aren't they?
Luckily the Netscape m5 branch was a short lived one for Beta and we managed to get Beta out without these set of keywords. So you can mark this WONTFIX!
