Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020509 1. launch a full-page plugin, I tried Flash 2. go to menu Help/About Plugins 3. see the blank page Expected: about:plugins page. Reload works fine. JavaScript console shows the following error messages: Error: document has no properties Source File: jar:resource:///chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/plugins.html Line: 81 Error: window._content.document has no properties Source File: chrome://global/content/charsetOverlay.js Line: 210 Peter suspects possible relation to bugscape 15425I assigned to Plugins for now, but this is likely XPApps.
misspelles 'wave' last time, important for mime type recognition.

No, it does not look like related to bugscape 15425 no matter what i set in user_pref("dom.disable_open_during_load", true/false) on first "about:plugins" I always got an empty page and: ************************************************************ * Call to xpconnect wrapped JSObject produced this error: * [Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "window._content.document has no properties" {file: "chrome://global/content/charsetOverlay.js" line: 210}]' when calling met hod: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JA VASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: "<unknown>" data: yes] ************************************************************ Document about:plugins loaded successfully

"about:config" behaves in the sane way, I see an empty page & the same js error

Possibly a somewhat less platform-specific problem, as I see the same behavior for about:plugins on Mac OS X (Mozilla 1.0), but that page shows fine on HP-UX and Linux. Vanilla install shows as blank for about:plugins (not even the null plugin), though plugins do work (Flash, java, etc) correctly when installed. "about:" shows the normal revision and Mozilla splash page on all platforms I've used.

The plug-ins triage team (av, beppe, peterl, serge and shrir) have reviewed this issue and have made the following determination: Tested on win2K on winXP using a current build and Flash6, this now works fine. There is a related issue with PDF files, see bug 146143
