Download .dmg Mozilla for os x 2. install it 3. launch Mozilla Actual Results: a new browser window opens and loads bugzilla.mozilla.org On that page is a message: N.B.: The Mozilla build you are using was made more than three weeks ago. If you are going to report bugs, please download and use a newer build. Expected Results: Well, I should have a current version from the download page, right?

It sounds like you downloaded the latest "release" build which is not the most current build. There are nightly builds under ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk/ that should be used to see if a bug still exists in the current codebase. The bugzilla page should make a direct reference to nightly builds rather than assuming that the reporter knows where to find "newer" builds.

my guess is that build official checking wasn't working, but whatever this bug report isn't valid today.
