User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0
Build ID: 20180128191252
Firefox for Android
Steps to reproduce:
Switched playback device from USB wireless headset to Realtek High Definition Audio.
Done using "SoundSwitch" program (links keyboard shortcut to switching playback devices).
Actual results:
Sometimes causes the tab playing audio to crash.
Has only happened when focused on the tab.
Happened for both spotify web player and soundcloud.
Expected results:
Presumably the tab should not crash and audio should switch from the one playback device to the other.
Could this be at all related to the Windows sound control panel bug 1358372?

Could you provide a link to the crash as well? Find it on the about:crashes page.

[Environment:]
Windows 7 x32
Windows 10 x64
FX 60.0a1 20180307100049
FX 58.0.2 20180206200532
SoundSwitch 4.2 from
https://github.com/Belphemur/SoundSwitch/releases/download/v4.2/SoundSwitch_v4.2.6546.34142_Release_Installer.exe
1 Audio headset TRRS jack. (also Realtek High Definition Audio)
1 Audio headset USB
[Results:]
Using the above environment, I've tried with Soundcloud, Spotify, Youtube and the switch worked smoothly even when I had all 3 web app. open and playing. Muting the tabs, or having them in new window made no difference: no tab crash or problems playing.
The above were all on a new profile, without any add-ons or special configurations, the only modified setting was the shortcut from SoundSwitch to Ctrl+Delete. My assumption would be that there is something that interferes with the SoundSwitcher. It would worth if the original reporter could try it with a new profile. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) - (this might be tough to do, since the reporter appears to be disabled)

So this issue is not actionable. And I can't needinfo the reporter because that account is disabled. Closing as WFM, please re-open if you find steps to reproduce.
