Details

I noticed and reported this also with the mail/news, but I can't select any
preferences to edit them. Restarting Mozilla did not work.
I see you reported this in bug 143685 as well, these are both dups of bug 135017.
Did you install over an older build, or uninstall first?

installed over a 0.9.9 build. uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it. saw the
fix on slashdot.
