User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 SeaMonkey/2.46 Build ID: 20161213180120 Steps to reproduce: I upgraded from ver. 2.46, to ver 2.49.1, this ver. do not start at all. I use Linux Mint 18.3 Actual results: Nothing happens when trying to start Seamonkey 2.49.1 Expected results: Seamonkey 2.46 start after downgrading from ver 2.49.1 Then this must be a bug in ver. 2.49.1
If you are on x64 please download the x64 version and try this one. Otherwise you need to provide more information e.g. start it from a console and see if errors are shown.
Sounds like a Linux / SM 2.49 problem. @reporter: I recommend to discuss you problem with other users at NewsGroup mozilla.support.seamonkey or at SeaMonkey Support forum <http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=40>
OS: Unspecified → Linux
Version: SeaMonkey 2.46 Branch → SeaMonkey 2.49 Branch
Agreed, this is rather a support problem better handled in forums first. Please also state there if you are using the Mint version or the one downloaded from https://www.seamonkey-project.org/
No followup. Please reopen if it still not works and you can provide additional information.
