(Keywords: hang)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20180129103850

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to verify that firefox is using the latest flash plugin by going to:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I have Shockwave Flash version 28.0.0.161 installed, with preferences "Ask to Activate".

Actual results:

Once I load the adobe test page, it will eventually run and if I click on the white area to the top right of the writing, it will show the version of flash I'm using.

But after that every tab in firefox is unresponsive, I can select a different tab and firefox does not switch to it. At times part of the contents of one tab are displayed on another tab.

I did see this error after going to that page:

[Parent 14861, Gecko_IOThread] WARNING: pipe error (200): Connection reset by peer: file /build/firefox-XIqkw3/firefox-59.0~b4/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 353

Expected results:

Once on this page, the flash should run when clicked, the version of adobe flash being used should be displayed and firefox should continue working as before.

Note that this other page to verify flash works does not cause any problems:
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

I also saw the following errors when firefox became unresponsive after I opened a webpage with a flash-based interactive graph:
