From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510 BuildID: 2002051006 In fact when you download flash or shockwave plug-in you have to chose your browser and mozilla isn't inclued in the list. So you choose the netscape's one, make the installation, visit the flash web page you couldn't see before, and... once again you can't see what this page shows. I tested the flash plug-in on http://www.pianographique.com Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. You waant to visit a flash web site, and you have to download the flash plug-in to see it. 2. You visit http://www.macromedia.com to download it. 3. Then you excecute the plug-in installer and complete the whole installation. during the installation you can choose mozilla as a browser compatible with netscape. 4. You launch mozilla in order to visit the flash web site again and it ask you to instal the plug-in (you've just finished to instal) one more time. Actual Results: You still can't use flash plug-in with mozilla. Expected Results: Mozilla should have permetted the user to surf on every web pages, even the one made the flash language.
Reporter : do you have flash / shockwave plugins listed in "about:plugins". Flash plugin file is NPSWF32.dll. Shockwave plugin file is np32dsw.dll You have to see the in your plugins folder. Works for me usint 2002051104 - WinXP - Flash 6 and Shockwave 8.5 plugins.
-->WFM Use an XPI to install Flash: ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.2.1/windows/win32/xpi/flash.xpi If you use the native installer, be sure npswf32.dll is in your plugins folder and then visit about:plugins to confirm. Also see bug 143178.
