To reproduce:
Join a couple channels in chatzilla, such as #mozilla and #mozillazine.
Wait until you've got enough text in the tabs to be able to scroll back.
Scroll back in one of the channels, such as #mozilla.
Switch to a different channel or tab, such as #mozillazine.
Switch back to the original channel.

Expected:
Scroll position will be where you left it before leaving the original channel.

Actual:
Scroll position is reset to the bottom (most recent messages).

This is not the way the tabbedbrowser works: scroll position is remembered
there. This gets frustrating when reading scrollback and then getting a private
message. You have to try to find your place again when you return to reading.

I see this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.0+)
Gecko/20020501
This is another argument for using proper tabs instead of the current method.
Unfortunately, no one has time to do it right now.
