It would be helpful if you could find the regression range.
https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/quickstart.html
Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → irrelevant
Component: Untriaged → Graphics: Text
Flags: needinfo?(moz)
Keywords: fonts, regression
Product: Firefox → Core
I'm working right now, will try to do that.

I remembered I've enabled webrender via about:config. Turning that config back off resolves the issue. Which I imagine lowers the priority somewhat.
Thanks for reporting. Bug 1444076 covers the issue and should be addressed in the next nightly.
