Do you think this is actionable? Looking at bug 2013670, it seems one of the workarounds broke recently. I wonder if we could fix the real issues instead of adding more workarounds.

Possibly? I mostly use Linux, but it'd be good to know if there are some relevant logs to see where the focus event comes from.

Here's a startup profile from my macbook: https://share.firefox.dev/3NW98HB On the profile we see there is an opacity transition on the toolbar when the first browser window appears.

Seems to reproduce on Linux too: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/jobs?repo=autoland&selectedTaskRun=OkMHqFPpT9yoMt9KN_3duQ.0&revision=9be64a20516cbebf3d7903f85831330648c9e1ad&searchStr=linux%2Copt%2Cbc But on Linux it's rare, on Mac it's close to a perma-fail.
