My users can't open links to files in the format FILE:///F|/folder/file.htm
in Netscape 6, which I'm told Mozilla is the engine, 
like they used to with Netscape 4.x.
I've reported this to Netscape.  They haven't replied.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. links to files that used to work with Netscape 4.x don't work with Netscape 6
2.

Actual Results:  error message: can't open page

Expected Results:  should have opened page

Netscape 6.0, 6.01, 6.2, 6.2.2 , 6.2.2 , 6.2.3 ?

Mozilla.org doesn't accept Netscape bugs and you should read that while you are
filed this bug.

This is worksforme with Mozilla 20020513..

file:///C|/abc/123.html wors on my system

-> worksforme (or invalid because this is a Mozilla bug database)

description...)

reporter: take a look at bug 122022. probably you are talking about links that
appear in a web page (http or https). try pasting the link into your location bar.
