Hello Peiying, Flod, and Théo!
Can you please localize the snippets below by April 9? Let Jean and me know if you need anything else.
Thanks!
Michelle
P.S. Words with [brackets] are where the links will go, if applicable.
------------------------------------------------------
Localize for: DE, ES, FR, Pt-BR, RU, Zh-TW, PL and ID.
Mock-ups: None for this localization bug
------------------------------------------------------
MOBILE
Copy: Satisfy your need for speed with [Firefox Rocket] — a lightweight and lightning fast browser for Android. Browse freely.
Link: https://app.adjust.com/2pv7s0
Copy: Get [Firefox Rocket for Android] — save on data costs and enjoy lightning fast browsing!
Link: https://app.adjust.com/q96oqa
Copy: Power up Turbo Mode on [Firefox Rocket for Android] and browse even faster with a single click. Browse on.
Link: https://app.adjust.com/61qpmr
Context: Firefox Rocket is fast. People who like things that go fast (like lightning strikes) have a "need for speed". Things that work on mobile that are fast (like lightning strikes) and lightweight (require less data to run and code installed to operate) use saves mobile users money in data costs.
------------------------------------------------------
DELIGHT
Link: None
Copy: Watching the sunrise outdoors statistically increases your odds of having a good day. And needing a nap after lunch.
Context: We are sharing our views on how connecting with nature and the outdoors helps improve and stabilize the people’s moods, but also acknowledging that getting up early to enjoy a sunrise means by mid-day sunrise-watchers might be sleepy (especially so after eating, which is a side effect of the body to metabolize the food eaten).
------------------------------------------------------
UTILITY
Copy: Want to try building a browser extension? [Check out our tutorial].
Link: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Your_first_WebExtension
Context: For users who feel comfortable with the idea of building things that run on the Internet, or want to try, we offer a tutorial on how to create an extension for Firefox.
------------------------------------------------------
CAMPAIGN
Copy: Are you a web developer? Try our fastest Firefox yet, now in Firefox Developer Edition. [Download now].
Link: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/
Context: This snippet is directed at developers who might want to use a version of Firefox that has the latest features, a fast performance, and the development tools developers need to build for the open web.
------------------------------------------------------
CAMPAIGN
Copy: Want to learn how to make games for the web? [MDN web docs] has you covered.
Link: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Games
Context: This snippet is directed at people who want to build or try to build games that work on the Internet. The Mozilla Developer Network (MDN) is a wiki of technical documents on Open Web technologies including HTML, CSS, and APIs for both Web sites and progressive web apps.
------------------------------------------------------
DELIGHT
Copy: What *would* happen if we could [travel at the speed of light]?
Link: https://youtu.be/FqnWEWYp9DU
Context: This YouTube video about what would happen to people if we could travel faster than the speed of light is a fun way to promote downloads of Firefox 59, our fastest version yet. The video, spoken in English, plays in all regions and is auto-translated in all the languages that Google translates. The link to download Firefox auto-displays the page in whatever setting the user has their browser set to.
------------------------------------------------------
UTILITY
Copy: Customize your Firefox browser! Visit the add-ons (or click the "hamburger" icon on the upper right corner) to [find and install extensions and themes]. Warning: May cause hunger pangs.
Link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/find-and-install-add-ons-add-features-to-firefox
Context: This snippet was created to call attention to the add-on manager, which is accessible via the browser icon featuring 3 horizontal lines evenly stack on top of each other, that kind of looks like a hamburger. The link in the snippet directs the user to a page that instructs them on how to find and install extensions and themes in the add-on manager.

@Michelle,
Thanks for the snippets. I have a few questions:
- The first three snippets are for Firefox Rocket. The product is in "id" only (from this list of locales). Make sure you schedule them for this locale only.
- There is no mention on character limitation. Should there be? I understand the last snippet will be an exception.
- The one with the YouTube link, I want to make sure I read your note correctly. Are you saying if someone watches it with Firefox browser in zh-TW, the subtitles in the video will be displayed in Chinese automatically?

Hi Peiying,
You're right about the three Firefox Rocket snippets. I forgot to note they are to be localized in ID only. Sorry about that, and thanks for catching it!
Character limitations: try to keep them under 180 characters, but less than 160 is better.
YouTube video: Yes, that's my understanding according to YouTube's documentation. Watching the video with captions selected displays the captions in the language that's displayed in the browser. I'm following up with YouTube (a real human)to verify this, but in the meantime please localize the snippet. If you are in Taiwan and don't mind, can you load the video in a browser and see if it displays the captions in zh-TW?

Hi Peiying,
Further instructions...
1) Remove the hamburger snippet from this bug.
2) Regarding the video feature in the snippet: We'll be embedding the video inside the snippet using our new video template. Also, I'm following up with YouTube (actual people) to verify what their documentation told me about how caption translations work when videos are played in non-native regions.
Thanks so much for your help!
