One of the last steps before removing support for the XUL "tree" element will be to remove all the related tests under the "accessible" top-level folder.

What is a plan for Thunderbird, are they going to switch from XUL:tree as well?

We don't know at the moment, there is bug 1446341 on file.

The removal of "tree" will not happen very soon, and it may occur shortly before we remove all of XUL from mozilla-central. At that point, we will have a clearer picture of whether Thunderbird plans to migrate away from XUL entirely or adopt some of its features.

I'm asking because, we have not only tests, but we also have accessibility classes for XUL trees. So if Thunderbird is not removing XUL trees shortly after Firefox, then we shouldn't remove tests, but rather make them running for Thunderbird only.
Blocking this on all the other tree removal bugs to make it clear this shouldn't happen until there aren't any more consumers
Speculating this is P3...
