Win2000 Pro Simplified Chinese version with SP2, use Netscape6.22's plug-in,
Acrobat Reader 5.05 Simplified Chinese version. After open
a PDF file (which is linked in a web page)in the browser window and select the
Acrobat's "save as" button, the Save as dialog appears, but it does NOT response
to the mouse and keyboard in about one minute, then it is OK. This Problem also
happens in RC1 and Netscape 6.2. It is OK with Acrobat4.0(chinese version).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a page with a PDF file link,like
"http://www.eea.epson.com/go/Resources/Catalogs/MCU-E.pdf"
and waiting for the PDF file is shown.
2.click the save as button on the Acrobat's toolbar in the browser window
3.the 'save as'dialog appears, and you want to change the default dir to another
one, so you use the mouse or keyboard to change the dir
Actual Results: but the dialog will not response the mouse click or key hits,
until about one minute later.
Expected Results: the dialog should response immediately
using mozilla open the first PDF, it always has this problem.
then if you open other PDF files, it works OK.
When you have this problem, you click the cacel button(it does not respons)and
leave the dialog alone and switched to anothe program(not the mozilla, but ,eg.
cuteftp) for several minitues, then switch back (now the dialog disappeared
because you have clicked the cancel button)and press the save as button again,
sometime you will encounter this problem again.
Investigating ... unfortunately, I currently don't have access to a simplified
chinese OS, so am asking someone else to dup this for me and to try
NS 4.X also.
From Adobe QE:
"The bug said problem occurs in CHS WIN 2000 w/ SP2 and Netscape 6.22, but i'm
using English Netscape 6.23 which is the latest i can get from the Web site,
however, this bug cannot be reproduced. The Mouse click or key hit response as
normal and can be able to save the PDF successfully.
Also, there is no problem with the Latest Mozilla build
and no problem with Netscape 4.51.
i'm using Simplified Chinese Acrobat Reader version 5.05. "
Can not reproduce problem.

Reporter: the Adobe folks cannot repro, as stated above. Can you please download
a newer version of the app, ensuring that you have a current version of Acrobat
and try again. If you can still repro this, please reopen. For now, I am marking
as WFM
