User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20180315233128
Steps to reproduce:
Using a Microsoft Surface device, when attempting to close a tab by touch or Surface Pen, if the "X" on the tab is missed and the tab receives the click, the tab will not close on subsequent presses of the "X" until the screen is refreshed by pressing the Windows key, opening the Windows notifications slide-in on the right, or some other method.
This happens in safe mode also and affects more than just me, see https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/813ca8/firefox_users_tabs_not_closing/
I have not been able to reproduce this behaviour on non-touch enabled versions of Firefox.
Actual results:
Tabs don't close until the screen is refreshed.
Expected results:
Tabs should close.

Forgot to mention that turning off hardware acceleration does not help.
Screen recording of the issue. I make several taps on the 'X' to close the current tab. Firefox becomes unresponsive, until the screen is refreshed by me opening the action centre. At this point, Firefox responds and the tab closes.

The described behavior seems similar to the one from bug 1441239. Closing this as Resolved-Duplicate in favor of the mentioned bug.
