RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1448071

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.186 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Issue only happens when logged in as a user on a computer connected to a Windows Server 2012 R2 domain, and that are are using roaming profile (so the Roaming profile folder is located on a Server and not local on the computer)

1. Start Firefox (x64) on a domain joined computer running windows 10 (1709) using roaming profiles
2. Visit https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/ add a dictionary for a language you want, for instance Germany
3. Visit a website with an input field, and type in a text in German , and make sure spell check is set to German.
4. Notice how anything you type in German is marked as red regardless if you misspell the words or not .
5. Then try and type something in English and this is all shown as correctly spelled

This has worked without any problems in version 58 of Firefox and no changes have been made to the right of the user profiles.

This happens on an existing profile with other extensions added, and also on a brand new Firefox profile
Also tested this on a brand new domain user account on a reinstalled computer with a new installation of FireFox 59.0.1 , same behavior can be reproduced every time.
The dictionary language added does not matter either.

A workaround:
1. Add a dictionary from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/
2. Navigate to %AppData%/Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<randomcharacters>.default\extensions\<dictionary folder>\dictionaries
3. Copy the dictionary files .aff and .dic files
4. Paste these files into c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\dictionaries
5. In Firefox go to about:addons then Dictionaries and delete the Dictionary you added before (you need to do this otherwise the problem persists
6. try and use spell check, and it works.

Actual results:

The spell check only checks against the built in English dictionary, located in the C:\Program Files\dictionaries folder, so any other language you write in, regardless of what dictionary language you have selected for spell check you have added , will be marked in red as if they where misspelled

Expected results:

Based on the languages selected for spellcheck, the spell check feature should mark misspelled words in red and correctly spell words should not be marked.
