Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0
Build ID: 20180322152034
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to one of the presentation pages in InfoQ (ex. hhttps://www.infoq.com/presentations/web-animations-api)
2. Hit Play button
3. (Optional, only if content actually starts playing) Try to seek forward with horizontal slider.
Actual results:
Either:
1. video doesn't play at all and player respods with a message about a networking error
2. if video does start playing and you try seeking forward - loading won't ever happen leaving you hanging.
Expected results:
Well, video should load normally, seeking should work too.

Hi konapt,
I tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.12 with FF Nightly 61.0a1(2018-03-27) but I can't reproduce this issue. I also tested with FF beta 60.0b7 and I can reproduce it intermittently, I can't reproduce it all the time but if I received the network error if I reload the page everything works.
Konapt can you please try to reproduce this with FF Nightly? You have the download link here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/
I will mark this bug, for now, as affecting only FF 60 and not FF 61.

Haven't thought about testing nightly initially.
But yes, while it too a few attempts - was able to reproduce on it on latest nightly too (https://i.imgur.com/FMVDaxJ.png, the UI is in Russian, but I guess you can tell that this is the same issue.)
At the same time I've seen a different behaviour on nightly - sometimes you get the message about the network error, BUT at the same time (after a second) the video starts normally underneath the message.
That being said - reloading page fixes the issue or so it seems in nightly for me.

Thanks konapt for your updates.
I see the same intermittent issues in nightly. Sometimes the video works, sometimes I get a network error, and sometimes I get the network error overlay but the video starts playing with busted controls.
