User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.186 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: I have received an email from eBay. A part of the source: Subject: =?UTF-8?Q?=E2=9C=85_ORDER_CONFIRMED:_Gramofon_Fon_Wireles...?= Actual results: A very huge character "checked" (or "OK" if you want) is shown everywhere: * mails list, * preview, * tooltip. Expected results: It is shown correctly on Gmail's web or in Outlook on iOS.

I am running Gtk2 version of TH (52.6) from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thunderbird-gtk2 on Manjaro. I verified it also on the latest 52.7 downloaded from the web and it is same there.

That's been reported a few times. It's caused by a font problem on Linux.
