open any page with a scrollable choice list, and if the list is longer than
the area, the scroll bars don't appear and you can not scroll the area. Text
entry areas seem to work OK

Additional note:
In the example (comment #1), as well as other cases, if you click and drag within the area, you can scroll down, however, you can not scroll back up.

hrm, there's a lot of scoller code here that needs updating and in addition, i
can't even get that scrollbar to draw enabled. i'm baffled.
bryner, what about being able to use xbl form selects? that would solve all our
problems here. can those be easily turned on w/out turning on all xbl form controls?
This bug is probably what makes the Bugzilla Query Page unusuable in Chimera.

We'd have to go in and hack PresShell on the chimera branch. Right now all of
the controls are keyed off of the same pref. We would also have to hack the
forms css file (although it's quite hacked as it is).

This bug is still present if the user has enabled double-scroll arrows on both
ends of scroll bars. This can be done using TinkerTool or issuing this command
at a terminal prompt:
defaults write "Apple Global Domain" AppleScrollBarVariant DoubleBoth
To reset back to the default behavior use:
defaults delete "Apple Global Domain" AppleScrollBarVariant

Zane, that's an OS bug (feature?). If there isn't physically room to draw all
the arrows plus the scroll pill, it doesn't draw. There's nothing we can do
about that.
You can still scroll them with a scroll wheel or the arrow keys.
