[Affected versions]: - Nightly 61.0a1 [Affected Platforms]: - All Windows - All Mac - All Linux [Prerequisites]: - Have a clean new Firefox profile. [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Start the browser with the prerequisites from prerequisites and open a new tab. 2. Create or edit the a Top Site for "https://www.reddit.com". 3. Set "https://www.reddit.com" as a custom image. 4. Click "Preview" and observe the Top Site image. [Expected result]: - The website screenshot is loaded as an image of the Top Site. [Actual results]: - The Top Site is blank. [Notes]: - As far as I have found, this issue is only reproducible with https://www.reddit.com. - If you do the same thing with other Top Sites, a screenshot of the page will be displayed as a Top Site image. - Attached a screen recording of the issue.
The user could choose a specific image rather than ask the thumbnailer to create one. In this case reddit has an empty splash screen that is getting thumbnailed
